The YSHIELD® M6L-9X is a six-layer magnetic field shielding film engineered for attenuation of low-frequency magnetic fields. The material combines six ultra-thin shielding foils into a flexible laminated construction designed for intermediate-layer installation in roof systems, flooring systems, wall assemblies, and other large-area shielding applications.

Unlike a single thick shielding sheet, the M6L-9X utilizes multiple thin shielding layers to improve attenuation performance while maintaining installation flexibility. The double-sided laminated surface provides increased durability and handling during installation.

The material is suitable for small residential shielding projects as well as large commercial, construction, industrial, and vehicle installations, including EVs, vans, campers, and mobile applications.

Single-layer installation offers the best price-to-performance ratio for many shielding applications. For elevated magnetic flux densities, multi-layer installation configurations are recommended.

• Overlap Requirement: Adjacent sheets must overlap by a minimum of 2 cm (0.8 in) to maintain continuous shielding performance and minimize magnetic field leakage at the seams.
• Apply the shielding film with overlapping seams and without gaps. Keep fastening penetrations and holes as small as possible to maintain shielding continuity.
• The aluminum side should always face inward to help prevent corrosion, and the manufacturer’s imprint should remain visible during installation.
• For improved adhesion and easier installation, we recommend using YSHIELD® PSA Pressure Sensitive Adhesive or appropriate conductive/non-conductive shielding tapes depending on the installation method and grounding requirements.
• The aluminum side must be grounded. For proper grounding integration, use YSHIELD® GSX Grounding Strips on the silver/aluminum side of the material.
• When installing multiple layers, stagger and offset each layer so seams do not align directly above one another.
