YSHIELD® SIL54 – Preservative-Free Shielding Paint

YSHIELD® SIL54 is a preservative-free shielding paint designed for interior applications. Its minimalist formulation is low-emission, plasticizer-free, and solvent-free, making it a suitable choice when avoiding preservatives is a priority.

As a dispersion silicate paint with low acrylic content, SIL54 provides good adhesion, including on difficult substrates. Its coarse conductive pigment (approx. 80 µm) creates a relatively soft, electrically conductive coating that shields against both high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) and low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF).

SIL54 is designed for interior walls, ceilings, and floors and is applied using a paint roller. It provides up to 53 dB shielding attenuation at 1 GHz with a double thick-coat application and has been tested from 600 MHz to 40 GHz according to IEEE Std 299-2006.
