The SD-1 Static Discharge Choke from LBA Technology is intended for use on series-fed AM broadcast towers where static charge must be drained from the tower structure.

Rated for RF base voltages up to 10,000 volts (max), the SD-1 operates across the standard AM broadcast frequency range of 300–1800 kHz. Across this operating band, the choke presents increasing RF impedance as frequency rises, supporting its static discharge function while maintaining suitable RF system performance.

The compact cylindrical design allows installation inside antenna tuning units (ATUs) or within protective enclosures when required.

For systems requiring higher-voltage protection, the SD-2 Static Dissipation Choke 20 kV and custom-engineered static chokes are also available.
